📖 The Story of Adotstate
By Tito Sanchez, Founder & Engineer
🎶 Introduction
My name is Tito Sanchez, and I’m the founder and engineer behind Adotstate Recording Studios. For over 20 years I’ve been shaping Milwaukee’s sound in hip hop, rap, and R&B. This is my story.

Born in 1979, I grew up surrounded by music and creativity. At age 5, I fell in love with music playing Tina Turner’s “What’s Love Got to Do with It” on vinyl over and over. By 6 or 7, I was learning on a toy keyboard. Around age 10, my friend Maverick and I were making skate videos on VHS, soundtracking them with the hip hop we loved. That’s when I realized music and recording would always be part of me.
🎛️ First Steps in Music
My first setups were simple — RadioShack mixers, Sound Blaster cards, cassette decks. I built a half-pipe with my brother Eddie and friends, blasting N.W.A. while skating and dreaming about the future. Recording was rough back then, but it gave me the hunger to chase sound my whole life.
🚀 Building Adotstate
After losing a job, I used my unemployment checks to invest in myself. I printed 1,000 black-and-white business cards and hit the streets, passing them out at traffic lights and through my guy Polo G on the north side. That hustle led to my first wave of clients. A mixtape I worked on called “The Murder Mill” with Warren Carter and D. White also brought in recognition. From there, Adotstate was born.

🏆 Adotstate Today
Today, Adotstate Recording Studios runs on legendary gear like Neve, Tube-Tech, SSL, and UAD, paired with modern comfort — leather seating, guest Wi-Fi, live sports always on display. My philosophy is simple: I don’t record my own music — my focus is 100% on my clients.
